It's for Charity mate....

Last weekend I co-organised a Charity Gundog Test at Sennowe Park, which also doubled up as an Introduction to Gundog Tests for Beginners to help handlers take their first step into Working Gundog Tests.

This was originally started last year by Jennie Willimott,  and I think a lot of people owe her a great big thank you for starting these events.
The money raised from the event goes to the Big C Cancer Charity

We were overwhelmed with the help and volunteers.
The Judges all gave up their free time to attend and help the handlers.
Our grateful thanks go to Judges: Gill Grummitt  Sara Gadd  Michael Tallamy Peter Childs
Stephen Ellis Phil Parkin

On the Sunday it was lovely to see 3 Junior Handlers taking part and doing extremely well.
We are very grateful to the Temple-Richards family for allowing us to use the beautiful Sennowe Park
We are also very grateful to Muntjac Trading and Sneyd's Wonderfeeds for sponsoring the awards and prizes.
We are also grateful to local clubs Norfolk Gundog Club, Mid Norfolk Gundog Club and Eastern Counties Retriever Society, for their help and sponsorship.

We had some fantastic prizes in the Auction and Raffle, and so thank you for these kind donations.

Also, thank you for the very posh toilets Hillstock Services Fi Waters , which all the nervous competitors very much appreciated

I personally couldn’t run this event without the fantastic help of my Caulaincourt Gundogs & Pet Dog Training team.

Thank you for all the donations and a total of £4565 was raised.

And a huge congratulations to all the handlers that took their first step in to Working tests

A Special Ground

On a Beautiful Sunday in April we were able to train our own dogs, on a fabulous private estate in North Norfolk. We are very lucky to be able to use this partucluar estate, as it is very secluded, and we have access though a very good friend.

I have had some of the best small shoot days here over the last few years, that will live in my memory for a very long time.

Caulaincourt Team training in Wales Spring 2024

As a team, we try to go to various locations a number of times throughout the year, to develop our own skills and to train our own dogs. Most recently, we spent four days in the Mountains of South Wales.

The terrain is completely different to what the dogs are used to, and it takes a day or two for them to adjust. But, by the end of the four days, they are showing confidence over the bracken, heather and steep inclines.

As you can imagine, the weather threw all sorts at us!

Spring Training!

The Spring season is upon us and with the training paddock looking great we've now added dates for all of our upcoming Spring courses. As well as our popular Gundog courses we've recently updated our specialist Spaniel Sessions to include courses for both youngsters and intermediate levels.
